The course comprises two units:
Computer Science
IoT & Data Science
Together, these units cover the fundamental concepts required to understand what is meant by IoT, how data science and ‘big data’ is used in industry, and the design of IoT systems. Through this course, students will gain an in-depth understanding of computer science and data science principles, as well as specialized knowledge related to IoT technology and its applications.
In the ‘Computer Science’ unit, students will learn about computer architecture, software development, and database management, among other essential computer science topics. This unit lays the groundwork for the more specialized ‘IoT & Data Science’ unit, which covers IoT architecture, data analysis, digital security, and advantages of the IoT, among other topics.
